After lunch we headed to a castle in Hostalrich where the villagers used to take refuge when being attacked. From the lookout, someone would ring a warning bell that would alert the villagers to head toward the castle at the top of the hill for safety.
From the castle we boarded the bus and headed toward an outlet shopping mall! We spent an hour walking around the shops, getting coffee and spending EUROS! Finally it was time to travel to the stadium.
We kicked off at 8:30pm against La Roca Women. We looked strong and confident as we came out with speed and aggressiveness. We headed into the halftime with an even score at 0-0. Simmons would strike first as Justine Beauchamp collected the ball just outside of the penalty area. She cut to her left and finished the ball in the lower left corner to put the Sharks up 1-0. Goalkeeper, Ashley Wheeler had two game changing saves to keep the Sharks alive. La Roca answered back with 20 minutes to go in the match to tie the score at 1-1 and this is how the match would end.
We are off to bed to rest up for another early start. Hasta Mañana!
